UFC fans do not want to miss out on this Canvas and Photo from the UFC 308 co-main event between Robert Whittaker and Khamzat Chimaev. The event took place on October 26th, 2024, at the Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
The co-main event of UFC 308 saw a middleweight showdown between two dangerous opponents in Robert Whittaker and Khamzat Chimaev. The bout set up both fighters for a shot at the title against the champion Driscus Du Plessis, so the fight had an extreme amount of pressure on it.
The stylistic matchup made this fight interesting as people expected Khamzat to come out the gates flying as he looked to get the submission early. People expected Whittaker to endure the pressure early and look to capitalise on a fatigued Khamzat later in the fight.
Chimaev came into the bout exactly how people expected him to on the front foot by taking Whittaker down. However, the expectation of Whittaker to withstand the pressure did not happen as Chimaev then utilised his position by submitting Whitaker at 3:34 at the first round via a brutal face crank.
This here is a real piece of history from this event. A hand cut piece of the very canvas that lined the Octagon at UFC 308 will be presented alongside an up-close photo of the two middleweight athletes engaged in the tense battle.
